AT THE MOVIES

Today I spent a wonderful, fun day with my dear friend Steven. We went shopping for (and Steven purchased!) a new laptop. We also shared a lovely unlimited-hashbrown breakfast and went to see Banksy's Exit Through the Gift Shop. Heard his(?) warbly, garbly voice. I guffawed, tapped my foot, whispered "meta," thought "Darth Banksy," grew nostalgic for urban rhythms. More should be written from moonlit city roofs.

I also bought my first pair of Birkenstocks. I never thought this day would come, but at least they are an animal print.

My sweet Bandit woke up too early and barked and leapt for his food this morning. He's all the way back to normal.

On my way to pick up Steven, I realized I am no longer the person who is always on time, who is reliably early. I now get arrive places exactly on time or a minute or two late. It feels like a newfound freedom.

I leave on an adventure on Monday so I'll be spending the weekend getting my house and self in order. Traveling solo for the first time in a long time; that used to be my default travel setting.

Pictures from the theater and then the sun:
